Fanta Piña Colada was introduced in the United States in 2016 as a limited-edition flavor, aimed at bringing a tropical, beach-style twist to Fanta’s fruit-forward line-up. While it mimicked the classic cocktail flavor (a blend of pineapple and coconut), it contained no alcohol and was designed as a non-alcoholic treat suitable for teens and young adults. It was distributed in select markets via 20 oz bottles and Coca-Cola Freestyle machines. The flavor gained a cult following for its creamy, tropical profile and candy-like sweetness, but was ultimately rotated out as part of Coca-Cola’s flavor cycle strategy.
