History:

Fanta Grape in Europe is part of The Coca-Cola Company’s extended Fanta portfolio, offering more fruit-forward and juice-based variations than the U.S. versions. In many European countries, food and beverage regulations are stricter about colorings, sweeteners, and juice content, leading to a different recipe compared to the American counterpart. European Fanta Grape often includes actual grape juice from concentrate, uses natural colors (instead of artificial dyes), and may reduce sugar with the addition of sweeteners such as stevia or acesulfame K, depending on the country.

The drink has a recognizable deep purple color and a sweet, fruity flavor, but it is typically less sugary and less artificially flavored than the American version. It has a strong fan base in countries like the UK, France, Spain, and Germany.
