History:
Sprite Lemon-Mint Zero Sugar was first introduced in 2019 in Greece as part of Coca-Cola’s strategy to expand the “Mint Sprite” concept beyond Asia and North America, but with a focus on low-calorie beverages. The Greek market was chosen for its high consumption of lemon-based drinks and preference for refreshing flavours in summer. The product was later rolled out to Serbia and Hungary in 2020 and to Germany in 2021, aiming to reach health-conscious consumers who wanted the mint-infused taste without added sugars. Marketing often highlighted the drink’s “Mediterranean freshness” and positioned it as an ideal hot-weather refreshment.
